Meet the team and settle onto your sail boat. This is a good time to take a look around Marmaris and get provisions ready for your Turkish sailing holiday.

At your convenience you will have a full technical briefing
Facilities at Marmaris:
For most of our clients, whether they are sailing East or West from Marmaris, Ciftlik is a popular 1st night destination.
As we do try to get you onboard and out sailing as soon as possible Ciftlik is a good choice as it is approximately 12 nm from Marmaris (2 hours under motor) it gives you time to learn about your yacht and enjoy a great sail on the way.
Serce Limani is where you will find Captain Nemo’s restaurant, famous with all of our clients. There is a choice of mooring on a jetty or you can use his mooring buoys, whichever you choose he will be there to assist you. This is a fantastic place to enjoy the starlit night after dining ashore..
Next morning a refreshing swim from your yacht will set you up for the day.
Note: In this bay only use the anchorages offered by the restaurant for safety.

Wake up to another fab day on the water and then head to Sogut and the top class Octopus Restaurant. They have a large dock with staff waiting to hand you a lazy line. It is shallow on the inside of the dock so only suitable for catamarans or swimming!! They have water and electric on the dock, sun chairs on the beach and excellent toilet & showers.
As the sun goes down the staff will set tables out on the water front ready for a relaxing dinner on the waters edge. They will invite you to choose your mezes from a large selection. At the same time you can have a look at the wonderful fish, seafoods & meats that they offer.
Great place to explore, swim and enjoy the scenery.
Facilities at Octopus Restaurant, Sogut:
A pretty village set in a large bay. There are numerous restaurants with their own private jetties for you to take a lazy line. The restaurants have a great range of fish. A great place for swimming and relaxing.
There is a weekly village market where you will find fresh fruit, vegetables, spices & various handicrafts. Selimiye is a good place to re-stock with provisions with 4 supermarkets to choose from, for the rest of your sailing holiday.
There are some fabulous restaurants in this village which we will be sure to tell you about during your area briefing. Most of the restaurants and cafes have WiFi available.
Facilities at Aurora Restaurant, Selimiye:
A wonderful bay with crystal clear waters and lots of mooring options. You can drop an anchor and take a shoreline to the beach for a totally chilled out evening, pick up a mooring buoy and row ashore for dinner or moor on the pretty restaurant jetty. Whichever one you choose you will have a peaceful and relaxing evening.
For those of you with energy left, put on your walking shoes and follow the winding path up the hillside for fabulous views over the bays. Best enjoyed either early morning or late afternoon when the temperature is cooler.
Facilities at Dirsek:
Otherwise known as Loryma, Bozzukale was once a military port and you can still visit the citadel with views over Rhodes on a clear day.
Swimming and snorkelling is excellent in this beautiful bay. We highly recommend Sailors House where you will receive the warmest of welcomes from Mustafa and his family.
**Most of our clients return and vote this as the best stop of their charter.
Facilities at Sailors House, Bozukkale:
Note: If you are staying overnight be sure to use one of the restaurant jetties as the bay does not have good holding.
Meet up with fellow sailors at the base and swap sailing holiday stories. If you haven’t visited the town of Marmaris it is just a short walk round the marina. You can wander around the Old Town, visit the castle and shop til you drop in the bazaar, selling “genuine fakes”. You will find a huge variety of restaurants to choose from or street food if you wish to eat on the go.
Just because your sailboat holiday in Turkey has finished doesn’t mean that your sailing holiday has ended. One experience not to be missed is the traditional Turkish Baths in Marmaris leaving you fully refreshed and relaxed for the journey home.
