Meet the team at the Gocek Base and arrange the time for your technical briefing. The supermarkets are just a short walk into town and they will deliver your provisions directly to your yacht.
Gocek town has an abundance of restaurants and bars lining the water front, you will be spoilt for choice.
Facilities at Gocek:
Just one of the beautiful bays in Skopia Limani, wonderful for swimming and snorkelling or just relaxing. Ramazan and his family will take your lines on the dock and later be serving at your table.
Facilities at Sarsala:
A pleasant sail with winds picking up in the afternoon, ‘My Marina’ restaurant is one of your options for overnight, situated on the hill with stunning views over the bay of Ekincik. It is quite a hike up to the restaurant so do make sure you have your camera with you as you probably will not feel like going back down for it.
Facilities at My Marina:
You choose 1/2 day or full day tour on a typical Turkish boat. You will pass a long sandy beach which is a nature reserve for loggerhead Turtles, if you are lucky you might seven see some turtles. From there you will travel up the Dalyan river through the reed beds, visiting the ancient site of Caunos and viewing the Lycian Tombs set high on the hillside. With restaurants lining the river, this is the place to take a tranquil lunch. Other interests are a swim in the fresh water lake or the mud baths which claim to make you look 10 years younger! (?)
Azmak restaurant is owned by cousins Engin & Yasar who take a great pride in delivering wonderful food and great service. Yasar will be on the dock to take your lines and hand you a lazy line. Once safely moored he will ensure you are connected to the electric shore power and you can top up with water if needed.
It is a great place to swim from your yacht, the dock or the beach. There are plenty of sun chairs and umbrellas on the beach & behind the restaurant are good toilet & shower facilities.
Engin & Yasar are keen to ensure you have everything you need so they have an excellent market for you to get any provisions you might need plus are happy to sell fresh fruit & vegetables from their kitchen. The large restaurant has plenty of shade for dining and free WiFi. The chef is very well known in this area for his excellent cuisine, we particularly recommend fish and beware of the delicious homemade bread.
Note: If you are staying overnight be sure to use one of the restaurant jetties as the bay does not have good holding.
Otherwise known as Loryma, Bozzukale was once a military port and you can still visit the citadel with views over Rhodes on a clear day.
Swimming and snorkelling is excellent in this beautiful bay. We highly recommend Sailors House where you will receive the warmest of welcomes from Mustafa and his family.
**Most of our clients return and vote this as the best stop of their charter.
Wake up to another fab day on the water and then head to Sogut and the top class Octopus Restaurant. They have a large dock with staff waiting to hand you a lazy line. It is shallow on the inside of the dock so only suitable for catamarans or swimming!! They have water and electric on the dock, sun chairs on the beach and excellent toilet & showers.
As the sun goes down the staff will set tables out on the water front ready for a relaxing dinner on the waters edge. They will invite you to choose your mezes from a large selection. At the same time you can have a look at the wonderful fish, seafoods & meats that they offer.
Great place to explore, swim and enjoy the scenery.
Facilities at Octopus Restaurant, Sogut:
You can expect a warm welcome from Mehmet and his family at Sailors Paradise. Mehmet built this fabulous restaurant from scratch, adding toilet & showers with spring water and solar power. As you wander through his vegetable garden or sit on his shaded terrace you cannot help but be impressed by the complete feeling of nature here. He has a wooden jetty with moorings for up to 15 yachts. Alternatively there a couple of mooring buoys if you prefer to be free.
Facilities at Sailors House, Paradise Bay:
A pretty village set in a large bay. There are numerous restaurants with their own private jetties for you to take a lazy line. The restaurants have a great range of fish. A great place for swimming and relaxing.
There is a weekly village market where you will find fresh fruit, vegetables, spices & various handicrafts. Selimiye is a good place to re-stock with provisions with 4 supermarkets to choose from, for the rest of your sailing holiday.
There are some fabulous restaurants in this village which we will be sure to tell you about during your area briefing. Most of the restaurants and cafes have WiFi available.
Facilities at Aurora Restaurant, Selimiye:
Serce Limani is where you will find Captain Nemo’s restaurant, famous with all of our clients. There is a choice of mooring on a jetty or you can use his mooring buoys, whichever you choose he will be there to assist you. This is a fantastic place to enjoy the starlit night after dining ashore..
Next morning a refreshing swim from your yacht will set you up for the day.
Note: In this bay only use the anchorages offered by the restaurant for safety.
Facilities at Serce Limani:
Renowned for their hospitality and fresh home-cooked food, the friendly staff will hand you a lazy line on their wooden jetty. Fantastic for swimming and relaxing. Another ideal location after a good day’s sailing.
A short walk above the restaurant on a good clear day will reveal stunning views across the bay of Fethiye.
Facilities at Kapi Creek:
This beautiful bay gets its name from the cold spring water that runs into it. You can definitely expect to feel refreshed after a swim here.
For most, the walk up to the restaurant with fabulous views over the bay and your yacht is enough.
If you are more adventurous, you can follow the path up and &the hill to the deserted village of Kaya Koyu, once inhabited by Greeks. It is fun to kayak around the bay and explore the area.
The lively town of Fethiye, a 10 minute walk from the new marina, is great for shopping and sightseeing. Behind the town are the Lycian Tombs and amphitheatre.
We advise booking a mooring at the Yacht Classic Hotel as they have such great facilities and are just a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. The hotel has all the facilities you could want: restaurant, bar, toilets & showers, 2 swimming pools and a spa. A time to chill out and relax, the perfect location for sundowners. They offer a better deal on mooring fo you eat in their restaurant.
If you stay a couple of nights another option many clients enjoy is choosing their own fish in the market with a restaurant next door who will prepare & cook it for you. Whatever you do with an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants this is a great contrast to the quietness of the bays in Skopia Limani.
Facilities at Yacht Classic:
If you want to see more inland, Fethiye is a good place to visit the Saklikent Canyon or the deserted Greek village of Kara Koyu.
Another chance to enjoy this pretty town. Freshen up before heading out for sundowners and supper on this vibrant waterfront location. Don’t forget to get the team photos of you and your crew
If you have a late departure we will arrange for you to spend the day at one of the small hotels in Gocek where you can relax by the swimming pool or use the spa facilities. Gocek is a great place to buy souvenirs and you will be surprised by number of high quality boutique shops.
