Meet the team and settle onto your chartered yacht. The staff will meet you in the marina and will be there to answer any questions. When you are ready they will give briefings on your yacht and about the sailing area. The supermarket is a short walk into town where you will also find gourmet food stores. All of the stores will deliver your shopping to your yacht.
If you are staying overnight Gocek is a pretty village with many bars and restaurants all lining the water front. We particularly like West Cafe in the village for its international cuisine.
Facilities at Gocek:
We love the area known as Skopia Limani with heaps of small bays and anchorages to choose from. One of our favourites is Kapi Creek. Muammer and his staff will assist you with the mooring and then serve you in the evening at your table.
Beautiful for swimming as are all the stopovers in Skopia Limani. There is a very nice walk over the hill to take the views over the whole area including Fethiye & on a good day you can see as far as Kalkan.
Facilities at Kapi Creek:
This beautiful bay gets its name from the cold spring water that runs into it. You can definitely expect to feel refreshed after a swim here.
For most, the walk up to the restaurant with fabulous views over the bay and your yacht is enough.
If you are more adventurous, you can follow the path up and over the hill to the deserted village of Kaya Koyu, once inhabited by Greeks. It is fun to kayak around the bay and explore the area.
Kaya Koyu Village
Fethiye, overlooked by imposing Lycian Rock tombs and a Medieval fortress. It is a large, popular and pleasant town with many excellent facilities. In the middle of the town the large, bustling market is open all week. With so many shops selling a range of goods from food to gifts, including carpets, gold, leather and jewellery – this is a shoppers paradise.
The lively town of Fethiye, a 10 minute walk from the Yacht Classic Hotel which would be our recommendation for the night. The hotel has all the facilities you could want: restaurant, bar, toilets & showers, 2 swimming pools and a spa. A time to chill out and relax, the perfect location for sundowners.
Facilities at Yacht Classic:
Time to get away from it all once again. A stunning bay with mooring buoys and crystal clear waters. Great snorkelling can be found on the reef. The family run restaurant serves traditional Turkish food and the owner may treat you to some entertainment on his violin.
You are highly likely to see turtles swimming in this bay.
There are so many stunning locations to choose from, great for swimming, good service, good food, etc Sarsala is just one of our favourites.
Ramazan and his staff await you at their newly built dock with lazy lines. They have recently refurbished the restaurant with a larger interior space for early and late season visitors, a very spacious terrace for the summer season, a bar and new toilet & shower facilities.
Facilities at Sarsala:
Another great day sailing in Turkey, stop for a swim in one of the bays on the way. At the end of the afternoon Tolga will be waiting to take your lines and looking forward to hearing your adventures and tales.
Freshen up and head off into town with a pleasant walk along the waterfront. A beautiful place to enjoy sundowners and dinner in one of the many restaurants.
If you have a late flight Tolga and Guclu will assist you in finding a boutique hotel with pool to spend a few hours at a very reasonable price. Alternatively you could take a leisurely breakfast and have a wander around the many shops in the pretty village.
