Direct Flights to Turkey

Dalaman is the closest airport to Marmaris, 1 hour 15 minutes by road, Dalaman to Gocek just 25 minutes.  If you are looking for a flight operators a good comparison site is www.skyscanner.net.   Alternative you can check the website of the airport you prefer to travel from as they will give list their flight destinations. 

Charter flights to Dalaman are available from all major and many smaller regional UK airports.  You can also fly in from most major cities in Europe. Competition to offer cheap flights to Dalaman is particularly strong from Gatwick, Heathrow & Manchester.  In addition to the popular holiday charter flights, there are also scheduled Dalaman flights from airlines such as Easyjet and the Turkish airline, Pegasus Airlines. Other popular airlines offering good deals are Jet2, BA, and TUI.

Bodrum is an alternative airport, transfer time to Marmaris by road is 2 hours. Direct flights to Bodrum are available from all over Europe with the most popular routes being London, Manchester and Amsterdam.

You may wish to check flights to Rhodes as the daily ferry takes just over an hour to Marmaris and is a good alternative.  Ferries run from Rhodes early morning and late afternoon during the summer holiday period.

If you are starting your charter in Gocek there are also ferries running from Rhodes to Fethiye.

If you are visiting Greece or Italy as part of your holiday you can reach Istanbul by ferry from Athens.

 

Connecting Flights via Istanbul

Turkish Airlines, Atlas jet and Pegasus have several flights from Istanbul every day into both Dalaman and Bodrum, a flight time approx  1 hour.

Many of our clients combine their turkish sailing holiday with a week of on land sightseeing. Istanbul airport is a major hub with many flights to both Dalaman and Bodrum.

The ancient Aegean city of Izmir is a popular location and is served by Adnan Menderes International Airport. Direct international flights arrive regularly from London, Manchester, Amsterdam and Paris.

 

Visa Requirements for Turkey

As of 2 March 2020, Turkey has decided to exempt visa requirements for the members of the European Union Schengen area, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland as well as the United Kingdom citizens for touristic travels to Turkey for every 90 days within 180 day period.
