09/06/2015: Ozgur, Marks’ Son, has qualified to represent Turkey in the World Youth Championship this year.
He first started sailing in an Optimist at the age of 6 he will now be racing a Laser Radial in Canada 14-20 August 2015.
30/08/2015: Ozgur thoroughly enjoyed competing in The World Youth Radial Championship last month. Overall he was 66th, a great result with some lessons learned at the event, which has just made him more determined than ever.
14/09/2015: Last week Ozgur competed in the Turkish Championships which took place in Izmir. He achieved 2nd in the Youth class & 3rd overall which was fantastic. He will now move up to the full rig laser & is aiming for a chance to compete in the 2020 Olympics in Japan. Today is his 1st day at Marmara University, Istanbul studying Sports Management.
