30/08/2015: Jim Cowan, Bob Winwick, Duncan Crane & John Taylor set off for a nice swim at an anchorage across Marmaris Bay then onto EKINCIK (Egg & Chips). Good anchorage, restaurant not inexpensive up a wee steep path. We had Honu under full sail for part of the trip.
31/08/2015: Sailed to Boynuz Buku on west side of Gocek bay. Water & power on rather rickety pontoon but restaurant good value.
01/09/2015: Anchored off an excellent restaurant off the beach at Fethiye Bay. Bumpy night on anchor
02/09/2015: Short trip to Fethiye itself. Spotted ‘Balik Kayasi” rocks awash which we hadn’t spotted on the chart – LUCKY! Into Yacht Classic Marina. Excellent facilities, helpful staff & lovely restaurant. RECOMMENDED.
03/09/2015: Long motor to have brunch in a bay on East side of KAPIDAGI PENINSULA then back to Ekincik.
04/09/2015: Last full day. Having booked at Joya Del Mar, we were rejected until things got sorted out. The table by the pool we were promised was somehow given to rich Russians. The Russians having booked more girls than they could cope with, offered us 2 of them – we declined (boring old farts!)
05/09/2015: Back to Marmaris.
