Honu – Cyclades 39
An amazing 3 weeks – really grateful for Mark & Stef’s insightful & informative suggestions of places to stay & eat. Their recommendations were unfailingly good.
We hope to be back soon for more exploring.
Many thanks again, Colin & Hilary.
Ciflik: Amzak Restaurant, pink flag, helpful staff, delicious food.
Serce Limani: Peaceful, beautiful, very friendly staff (Osman & Hassan). There is a new jetty where the laid moorings used to be.
Phoenix Beach: Lovely secluded location, nice walk up the hill. Food wise, if you wanted ‘lamb in the oven’ you need to order in advance
Sogut: Captains Table for supper, fabulous service
Selimiye: Pretty little village, Aurora lived up to expectations. Excellent ‘cut throat’ barber (for Colin)
Orhaniye: We probably wouldn’t come to Orhaniye again other than to pump out & refuel.
Sailors Paradise: Nice bay & food. Avoid Tuesdays as flotilla take over. Fun atmosphere. Good coves for anchoring around here.
Datca: Exquisite food at Culinerium. Also nice dirty kebab from a kiosk just up from the post office.
Palamut: Jardin de Semra for dinner – nice. Taxi to Knidos for 80TL
Mesudiye: Oguns Place for dinner, collected from bay by Ogun. Jetty is no longer there.
Bozukkale: Sailors House, extremely windy.
Fethiye: Fish market a MUST! Moored at Yacht Classic Hotel, very nice facilities – expensive 165TL for mooring.
Cold H2O Bay: Go after 17:00. Fabulous setting, avoid Thursdays flotilla.
Tersane: Efficiently family -run restaurant. Lots of good places to anchor around this area.
Ekincik: Dalyan River Tour is worth a go.
Kumlubuku: Yacht Club, lovely setting, love;y cushions on the beach. Get there early to avoid the wind. Avoid Mondays flotilla.
Joya Del Mare: Really lovely place to spend the day and pretend it is not the end of your sailing holiday.
