Stef & Mark were the most hospitable hosts and so informative and helpful. Adakoy Marina was lovely for our 1st night.
Fantastic food and Azmak Restaurant really lived up to expectation. Engin was so helpful.
Mustafa was lovely, so welcoming. Brilliant evening with fab food and entertainment, lots of party games – basic stuff but great fun. Limbo was so funny. Drinks were expensive. Mustafa also took the kids out on his speedboat wake-boarding, for free, which they loved.
Octopus House, Beautiful setting and fab food.
Osman’s Place – fabulous hosts – amazing steaks. Lyn & Osman were the perfect hosts and Maria loved the dogs and the cats! Watch the shallow waters on the West side, lovely blue waters. Fishing was tough though – no large fish at all it seems!
Lovely meal at Aurora. Lovely shopping and great for provisions. Kids enjoyed the cocktails at the Jazz Bar next to Aurora Restaurant – great service and lovely ambiance.
Beautiful trip down – winds were kind. Anchorage was great overnight.
Punched across to Asi Koyu to find anchorage but didn’t find so continued to Gocek. Macro was great for provisions and they deliver to the boat! Saw the floating shop Migros which is such a fab idea! Great for shopping in Gocek – good for watches and fishing tackle (we lost a couple of lures at sea!). Got some well needed fishing advice. Back on the boat and much to my sons’ delight he pulled in a Borito of fair size and weight with his new pre-set line and spinner.
Gorgeous setting and bread delivered to your boat in the morning yummy! Snorkelling in the crystal waters was amazing. We saw fish jumping out of the water – it was surreal! Highlight was seeing a turtle bobbing around coming up for air – he was so cute.
Absolutely idyllic – reminded us of Thailand – very laid back and relaxed. Lots of families – hammocks and swinging chairs. Water is much cooler and greener. Basic food but good.
We anchored off-shore and took a line ashore – picturesque setting, cooked a wonderful Paella on board and watched the sunset. Boys rowed ashore for beers.
Well!! What can I say!!! Recep was eccentric but well worth the visit. He welcomed us with open arms and couldn’t do more for us. It was like visiting a farmyard 50 years ago at least. Great fun and amazing Wild Boar Casserole. He told us all about his hunting experiences and all his family. What an industrious lot!
My Marina – Paradise, definitely worth a visit. Shop is stacked with your bare essentials, mooring fee 70TL. Superb food and service. Kids loved diving off the jetties.
Lovely sail into Marmaris Bay to get fuel etc. Sailed back to Adakoy where Stef & Mark were there to greet us. What a lovely marina – the best shower on the whole coastline!
What a brilliant holiday. Thanks to Windwhistle for looking after us so well and a massive thanks to Stef & Mark for such a personal touch, it really does make a difference 🙂
See you next time, “The Keens” (UK)
