Day 1 - Arrive Netsel Marina, Marmaris

marmaris.jpgMeet the team and settle onto your chartered yacht. This is a good time to take a look around Marmaris and get provisions ready for your sailing holiday. We will give a full briefing of the sailing area and assist with any special requests.

Enjoy dinner in one of the restaurants in the marina or try more of the traditional Turkish islands cuisine in the town. For those with lots of energy you can visit Bar Street and dance the night away in one of the nightclubs.

Day 2 - Ekincik, Turkey (19nm)

Ekincik_small1.jpgA pleasant sail with winds picking up in the afternoon, 'My Marina' restaurant is situated on the hill with stunning views over the bay of Ekincik

From here you may choose to take a 1/2 day to full day tour on a typical Turkish boat. Travel up the Dalyan river through the reed beds, visiting the ancient site of Caunos and viewing the Lycian Tombs set high on the hillside. With restaurants lining the river, this is the place to take a tranquil lunch. Other interests are a swim in the fresh water lake or the mud baths which make you look 10 years younger! (?)

Day 3 - Tomb Bay (32 nm)

Tomb Bay_small7.jpgThis is the place to stop for a Turkish shave and a massage, just at the end of the wooden jetty. A lovely restaurant with toilets, showers and a volley ball pitch. The bay, surrounded by ancient tombs and fresh water springs, is an amazing place to swim.

Day 4 - Fethiye (13 nm)

gallery-small15.jpgFethiye, overlooked by imposing Lycian Rock tombs and a Medieval fortress, is a large popular and pleasant town with many excellent facilities. In the middle of the town the large, bustling market is open all week. With so many shops selling a range of goods from food to gifts, including carpets, gold, leather and jewelry - this is a shoppers paradise.

To top the day off you can enjoy your evening in one of the many restaurants and continue into the early hours with the fun bars and nightlife on offer.

Day 5 - Cold Water Bay (13 nm)

Cold Water Bay_small2.jpgThis beautiful bay gets its name from the cold spring water that runs into it, you can definitely expect to feel refreshed after a swim here. For most, the walk up to the restaurant with fabulous views over the bay and your yacht is enough.

For the more adventurous, there is a walk up and over the hill to the deserted village of Kaya Koyu, once inhabited by Greeks. Or kayak around the bay and explore the area.

Day 6 - Kalkan (30 nm)

After a great day on the water you will arrive at the scenic town of Kalkan. The pretty harbour has a Yacht Club which is the perfect place to sip a cocktail and watch the sun go down before heading off for dinner at one of the many restaurants.

   

Day 7 - Kekova Roads (15 nm)

Allow 2days to explore the Kekova Roads islands. With spectacular scenery and many bays to stop at - from your own anchorage with no-one else around to a choice of wooden jetties with restaurants in Ucagiz and Kale Kyou. Aside from the wonderful sailing holiday area you can take a boat trip to view the submerged Lycian city. Another place to visit is the castle at Kale, a stunning village set on the hillside, with tiny stoned streets and terraces covered in hand-made carpets.

Day 8 - Kekova Roads (1-3 nm)

kas.jpgUcagiz and Kale Koyu both offer trips to Demre where you can visit the St Nicholas Church, the ruins of Myra including a stunning collection of tombs cut into the cliffs above the town and the amphitheatre. Otherwise enjoy the peace and tranquillity of these bays with swimming and caves to explore.

Day 9 - Kas (18 nm)

Kekova.jpgThis attractive town is built on the hillside overlooking the harbour. A wonderful place to wander around in the evening with plenty of interesting shops to browse. A short walk from the harbour will take you to the Greek ampitheatre which is used by the locals. At night some of the Lycian Rock Tombs built into the hillside are floodlit, visible from the harbour.

Day 10 - Kalkan (15 nm)

If you arrive with time to spare take a short taxi ride to visit to the ancient ruins of Xanthos, Patara and Letoon and the 7 mile long beach at Patara.

Day 11 - Karacoaren (29 nm)

Time to get away from it all once again. a stunning bay with mooring buoys and crystal clear waters. Great snorkeling can be found on the reef. The family run restaurant serves traditional Turkish food and the owner may treat you to some entertainment on his violin.

Day 12 - Wall Bay (13 nm)

Wall Bay, named after the high wall on its southern side, is just one of many tranquil bays in Skopia Limani. In Ruin Bay you could explore the ruins where Cleopatra supposedly bathed in asses milk or take a walk to the ancient town of Lydia.

Day 13 - Asi Koyu (20 nm)

Koyu.jpgUnmarked on any charts, this small bay offers a great lunch time stop en route from Skopei Limani to Marmaris. The bay is fantastic for swimming with crystal clear turquoise waters. Also an ideal overnight anchorage if you wish to dine onboard.

Day 14 - Return Marmaris (24 nm)

Meet up with fellow sailors at the base and swap interesting experiences from your holiday. Freshen up and enjoy an evening in Marmaris with time for souvenir shopping and haggling for goods in the bazaar.

Day 15 - Departure Day

Just because your yacht charter has finished does not mean that your sailing holiday has ended. One experience not to be missed is the traditional Turkish Baths in Marmaris leaving you fully refreshed and relaxed for the journey home. Let us help you organise another great day.
