1 Week Sailing East

Day 1 – Arrive Netsel Marina, Marmaris

Marmaris CastleMeet the team and settle onto your chartered yacht. This is a good time to take a look around Marmaris and get provisions ready for your sailing holiday on board. We will give a full briefing of the sailing area and assist with any special requests.

Enjoy dinner in one of the restaurants in the marina or try more of the traditional Turkish islands cuisine in the town. For those with lots of energy you can visit Bar Street and dance the night away in one of the nightclubs.

Day 2 – Ekincik, Turkey (19nm)

Mud bath CaunosA pleasant sail with winds picking up in the afternoon, ‘My Marina’ restaurant is situated on the hill with stunning views over the bay of Ekincik

From here you may choose to take a 1/2 day to full day tour on a typical Turkish boat. Travel up the Dalyan river through the reed beds, visiting the ancient site of Caunos and viewing the Lycian Tombs set high on the hillside. With restaurants lining the river, this is the place to take a tranquil lunch. Other interests are a swim in the fresh water lake or the mud baths which make you look 10 years younger! (?)

Day 3- Kapi Creek, Turkey (27nm)

Probably the most famous photo overlooking the bay of Kapi Creek. Renowned for their hospitality and fresh home-cooked food, the friendly staff will hand you a lazy line on their wooden jetty. Fantastic for swimming and relaxing. Another ideal location after a good day’s sailing.

For those feeling a little energetic a short walk above the restaurant on a good clear day will reveal stunning views across the bay of Fethiye.

Day 4 – Fethiye, Turkey (12nm)

The lively town of Fethiye, a 10 minute walk from the new marina, is great for shopping and sightseeing. Behind the town are the Lycian Tombs and amphitheatre.

Many clients enjoy choosing their own fish in the market with a restauarnt next door who will prepare and cook it for you.

With an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants this is a great contrast to the quietness of the bays in Skopia Limani.

If you want to see more inland, Fethiye is a good place to visit the breathtaking Saklikent Canyon or the deserted Greek village of Kara Koyu.

Day 5 -Sarsala, Turkey (12nm)

Back to peace and tranquillity, with crystal clear waters for swimming and hammocks for relaxing. Once again you can enjoy the hospitality of this family run restaurant and taste the house speciality – Turkish Pide.

Day 6 – Asi Koyu, Turkey

yacht sailing charterUnmarked on any charts, this small bay offers a great lunch time stop en route from Skopei Limani to Marmaris. The bay is fantastic for swimming with crystal clear turquoise waters and is an ideal overnight anchorage if you wish to dine onboard.

An alternative bay is Gerbeske to the south of Ciflik.  Turquoise waters and tranquility

Day 7 – Return to Marmaris (24nm)

Meet up with fellow sailors at the base and swap sailing holiday experiences from your holiday. Freshen up and enjoy a evening in Marmaris with time for souvenir shopping and haggling for goods in the bazaar.

Day 8 –  Departure Day

Just because your yacht charter has finished does not mean that your holiday has ended. One experience not to be missed is the traditional Turkish Baths in Marmaris leaving you fully refreshed and relaxed for the journey home. Let us help you organise another great day.
